Some Samsung devices will stop receiving software updates starting in 2025. Keep reading to find out which ones!

Since Samsung stops offering updates for devices based on their age, models from the Galaxy S20 series will no longer receive updates from the South Korean manufacturer this year.

This includes all three devices in the series: the Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. They are still under the company’s older policy, which guaranteed updates for devices up to five years after launch.

As the Galaxy S20 series was launched in early 2020, they will stop receiving support in March 2025. The only model that is currently exempt is the Galaxy S20 FE, which was launched later that year and is expected to continue receiving updates for a few more months.

Other devices from the manufacturer, such as the Galaxy A12, released in 2020, will also no longer receive updates. Here’s the full list of Samsung devices that will stop receiving support this year:

  • Samsung Galaxy A02s;
  • Samsung Galaxy A12;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20+;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 5G;
  • Samsung Galaxy S20;
  • Samsung Galaxy W21 5G.
